There's nothing more frustrating than finding a tile you like, but it's not the color you want, or it's too dark or too bright.  That's why all of my tiles are created in series.
Once I create a design I like, I apply different colors, light, and effects to it.
The finished series usually ends up consisting of 10 to 30 tiles, many of which are quite different than the original tile.
